Authentication is the module every NestJS project rebuilds from scratch, and the one where subtle mistakes are the most expensive to leave unfixed. This module ships a reviewed implementation: short-lived access tokens, refresh tokens hashed and stored per-session so any device can be revoked individually, and automatic rotation that flags reuse of an already-rotated token as a compromise signal. Role and permission guards compose with `@UseGuards()` the way NestJS guards are meant to, a `@CurrentUser()` decorator keeps controllers free of manual request casting, and password reset and email verification flows are included with rate-limited endpoints out of the box. A Google OAuth strategy is wired in behind the same session model, so social login and password login produce identical, revocable sessions instead of two different auth systems bolted together.
